Giants’ Defense Exposed Against Quality Opponent

October 19th, 2009 by Chris Binderman No comments

Heading into week six of the NFL season the New York Giants defense looked like it was on pace to put together one of the greatest single season performances of all time. And now after the team’s first loss of the season there are a myriad of questions about this unit. After feasting on bottom dwellers this unit has now finally been exposed.

Through the first five games of the season this team was dominating the league in yards allowed per game giving up right around 100 ypg on the ground and an unfathomable 100 ypg or thereabouts in the air. But the curtain’s been pulled back thanks to Drew Brees and his high octane offense. Brees completed passes all day long and the offense scored at will against the highly touted pass defense. Dolphins have mastered the Wildcat

October 16th, 2009 by Steve Spelman No comments

Just as most of the teams around the football betting league that have experimented with the novelty of the Wildcat formation and given up on it, the Dolphins seem to be ramping up its usage.  In the recent win over the Jets the Fins lined up in the single wing 16 times which very well may be a modern era football sports betting record.

Most teams call the formation a ‘gimmick’ and use it a few times a game it at all.  But the Miami Dolphins have buttered their bread with this formation all football betting season and by all indications will continue to do so.  Even when their sports betting opponents all have ample tape of team’s plays out of the Wildcat it continues to succeed. So why does it work for the Dolphins and no one else? Read more…

Bengals Are a Team on the Rise

After week one’s ridiculous football betting loss at home to the underdog Broncos it looked like it was going to be another very long and very loss-filled season in Cincy. But a strange thing happened. The Broncos turned out to be a pretty damn good team and the Bengals have since reeled off four straight football betting wins and are in sole passion of the very tough AFC North. Who would have thought it?

What makes the Bengals string of wins all the more impressive is the fact that they’ve won three games in a row on the road and have a perfect 3-0 so far in the division. The team now controls its own destiny in terms of wrapping an AFC North football betting title and is already light years ahead of its division rivals with three division victories. Read more…

Is There Any Hope for the Bucs?

October 13th, 2009 by Dan Closson No comments

Tampa Bay BuccaneersThe one good thing for football betting on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is that even if this struggling team only wins one game all year, it still won’t be the worst season in the team’s history. Everyone knows that the Bucs have the dubious distinction of a winless season, but the way things are going it might have two of them under its belt when the dust finally settles on the 2009 season.

The Bucs have been awful in the football betting this year and awful on the field. The team has limited talent on both sides of the ball and the rookie head coach Raheem Morris has shown very little promise at the position. The play calling has been terrible on offense and his decision to bench Byron Leftwich in favor of rookie Josh Johnson was more or less an act of throwing in the sports betting towel. Read more…

How Important is Eli’s Injury?

October 9th, 2009 by Dan Closson No comments

eliIt’s never a good football betting development when your Super Bowl winning franchise QB goes down with an injury. What’s worse is that the nature of the injury is a bit mysterious and no one is quite sure just how serious it might be. And that’s the troublesome part of it all.

But the Giants can rest easy this football betting week as their opponent in the just happens to be the Oakland Raiders –a team that the Giants could beat with Tom Coughlin under center if need be. Read more…
