Mark Sanchez Named Starter for the Jets

sanchez-3The New York Jets have named the rookie quarterback of Mexican origin, Mark Sanchez, as the starting quarterback for the 2009 NFL betting regular season, as confirmed by Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network. Head Coach Rex Ryan confirmed Sanchez as the starting quarterback for the 2009 regular season. He argued that the rookie presents for them the best opportunity for victory.

The move is slightly surprising, considering the fact that Sanchez had a bit of a rough preseason NFL betting game when the New York Jets lost against the Baltimore Ravens.

During this encounter in the NFL football lines, Mark only completed 3 of his 8 attempted passes, for 43 yards and was ravaged by the Baltimore Ravens defense for the whole night. As a matter of fact, his first pass of the night (and of his starting career with the Jets) was an interception that was caught and returned by Haloti Ngata for a touchdown.

Still, he managed to recover from his mistake and tied up his second quarter performance with a well-made completed pass to Leon Washington in the end zone for his first touchdown pass as an NFL betting professional. Sanchez practically could have been given his position by default. His competition, Kellen Clemens, has had a pretty rough preseason in the NFL football lines.

Against Baltimore, Clemens completed 5 of his 10 passes for 60 yards. Like Sanchez, he passed an interception which was returned for a touchdown, and also a touchdown pass.
