Titans Give Young His Chance

The career path of former U of Texas QB and first round football betting pick Vince Young has been a rocky one. Just four years into his pro career this guy has experienced quite a lot in the league except winning. And so the news of Nashville that he will be the team’s starter in week 8 is less than inspiring for many Titans fans.

But at the same time there is little resistance from the fan base considering that the team is 0-7 in the football betting action this season. And when your choice is between bad (Kerry Collins) and terrible (Young) what have you got to lose by trying something different in the sports betting action. It can’t be any worse right?

The change in pace is little more than a last resort, apparently forced on Coach Jeff Fischer by owner Bud Adams. But it might just be the key ingredient that this team needs to capture its first football sports betting win of the season.

The offense, even with pro bowl RB Chris Johnson has become stale, unproductive and entirely too predictable. Young’s mobility may be just the thing the offense needs to throw defenses off kilter.

Granted Young stats as a starter in the past were nothing great and his off-field behavior has been erratic. But when your team is 0-7 you’re up for anything.

And despite his awful numbers Young always seemed to have his team in the game right down to the wire, even winning some of them, which is something Tennessee would love to see again.
