Saints are the Undisputed Best Team through Week 7
Sunday could have been a very bad day to be a Saints football betting fan. After watching their team fall into a 24-3 hole in the first half of their game against the Dolphins it seemed as if the undefeated run was over the team from New Orleans would come crashing back to earth.
But Drew Brees and the defense seemed to have missed that memo as they marched the team back in the second half and capped off an extraordinary comeback football betting win.
After the impressive road win against a well rested and well prepared Dolphins team there should be little doubt that the Saints are the best team in sports betting.
For years the knock of the Saints team has been its soft defense. That is no longer the case. This unit is one of the better groups in the league and is allowing just 83 yards on the ground a game. True, the team is giving up 251 yards passing per game, but it also leads the league with 11 INTs, two of them returned for TDs (see Daren Sharper’s amazing stat line).
And the amazing thing is that at the same time the defense is playing the best it’s played in years, the same can also be said of the offense, a group that has been among the best in football sports betting for awhile.
Brees looks as good as he’s ever looked but with Jeremy Shockey finally playing a prominent role in the passing game and a competent running game this offense is scary.
When you combine this team’s play on both sides of the ball, it simply doesn’t have any peers right now in the NFL.
